Phyllis Gerber, age 75 passed away at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (December 11, 2012) at her home.

She was born at Jasper, Indiana October 4, 1937 to Hugo and Leona (Hochgesang) Hanselman.

Phyllis was secretary/treasurer for the Southeast Dubois School Corporation at Ferdinand for 37 years.

She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – Dubois County Human Society.

She enjoyed her card club, her two cats Jonah and Mr. Peaches

One daughter, Jan Joas and friend Mark Schneider, Jasper, IN

  • Tony Gerber and spouse Angela, Ferdinand, IN
  • Scott Gerber, Jasper, IN

Daughter-in-Law, Ann Clark, Jasper, IN

Eight grandchildren, Amber and Thomas Gerber, Kelly and Sarah Joas, Cami Gerber, Haley Clark and (Twins) Hayden and Ella Clark.

One sister, Mrs. Larry (Diane) Klein, Jasper, IN

One brother, Larry Hanselman and spouse Betty, Jasper, IN

Preceding her in death is one son Andy Gerber.

Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (December 14, 2012) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Humane Society.
