Phillip Ray Bush, 64

Phillip Ray Bush, age 64, of Velpen, Indiana, passed away at 4:10 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2011 at his residence.

He was born May 4, 1947 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Eugene and Pansy (Eads) Bush. He was united in marriage to Shirley Jones on December 21, 1968 at the Cup Creek General Baptist Church. He was a retired construction worker and worked for 17 years at Memorial Hospital in Jasper as a carpenter. He was a member of Laborers Union #561 and served in the United States Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by: one daughter, Sherry Rae Bush; and one brother, Jerry Bush.

and (2) grandchildren.

Funeral services for Phillip Bush will be held at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Cup Creek Cemetery near Velpen. The Reverend Tom Nixon will officiate the services and the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday.
