Paula Jane (Rauscher) Kratzer, 59
Paula Jane (Rauscher) Kratzer, age 59, of Huntingburg, Indiana, lost her battle with cancer at 8:15 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 10, 1952 in Jasper, Indiana to Russel and Dolores (Otto) Rauscher. She was married to Elmer E. Kratzer on May 23, 1970 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. Paula was a retired USDA inspector with the Department of Agriculture for 23 years. She was a member of the Huntingburg V.F.W. Post #2366 Women’s Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #3335 Women’s Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg and a social member of the Zoar United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by: her father, Russel Rauscher; and one infant son, Eric Edwin Kratzer.

Funeral services for Paula Kratzer will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg. The Rev. Rex Charles will officiate the services. Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Friday. The V.F.W. Post #2366 Auxiliary will hold a memorial service at 6:30 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
