Paul W. Seidl, 64, of Jasper, passed away Friday morning, March 4, 2016, at his home in Jasper.
Paul was born in Huntingburg on January 16, 1952, to Jerome and Ardella (Deinderfer) Seidl. He married Beth Jones on July 5, 1975, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Paul retired from AT&T. He previously worked as the Utility Superintendent for the Town of Ferdinand. He also worked for Jasper Stylemasters /Jasper Plastics.
He was a graduate of the Jasper High School Class of 1970, a 1974 graduate of Indiana University, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
He a charter member of the Jasper Optimists, where he served as president and lieutenant governor. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.
he is survived by his wife, Beth Seidl of Jasper; one son, Cory Seidl of Birmingham, Ala.; two sisters, Ann Jochim of Indianapolis and Christine Forsythe and husband Tom of Medford, Ore.; four brothers, Ken Seidl and wife Jane of Jasper, Mike Seidl and wife Lavonne of Jasper, Gene Seidl and wife Cindy of Newburgh and Jay Seidl and wife Jeannie of Jasper; nieces and nephews
Preceding him in death was one sister, Kathy Schmidt.
Funeral services for Paul Seidl will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow at a later date.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Community Foundation to the Fritch/Jones Endowment, the “Save the Astra” Endowment or the Jasper Optimists.
