Paul W. Meyer, 98

Paul W. Meyer, 98, of Jasper, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2015, in Brookside Village in Jasper.

He was born in Boone Township on September 7, 1916 to David and Emma (Hoffman) Meyer.

He married Wilma L. Eck on December 30, 1941 in St. John’s Parsonage in Boone Township, Indiana. She preceded him in death on April 9, 2014.

Paul was a retired farmer in Boone Township. He was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church in Boone Township.

He is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Kieffner and her husband Harold, of Boone Township, Martha Lou Meyer of Jasper, and Linda Englert and her husband Craig, of Jackson, Ala.; five grandchildren, Kolleen Smith, Erin Kieffner, Renae Burns, Jered Englert and Jordan Englert; four great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death besides his wife are two brothers, Willard Meyer and Linus Meyer and one sister, Cleovia Baer.

Funeral services for Paul Meyer will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015, in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery Trust Fund. The Rev. Catherine Burnette will officiate.

Friends may call from Noon until the 2:00 p.m. service time at church.

In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Cemetery Fund or to Terri Clark Ministries for Mission Work in Uganda.
