Paul Stratman, 82
Paul Stratman, age 82 of Ireland passed away 4:00 p.m. Monday (March 19, 2012) in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana.
He was born in Jasper on April 11, 1929 to John F. Sr. and Otillia (Schnell) Stratman. He married Gladys Matheis on October 15, 1955 in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois.
Paul was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from the Jasper Municipality power Plant where he had worked for many years and also worked for the U.S. Postal service in Jasper.
He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland and previously a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper for over 53 years – Holy Name Society of St. Joseph and the Jasper Knights of Columbus. Also a lifetime member of the NRA- Jasper Rifle and Gun Club – Jasper Outdoor Recreation Association.

Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
One sister, Mildred Linhof, Colorado Springs, CO
Preceding him in death are two sisters, Margaret A. Opel and Mary Louise Lorton. Also two brothers, John F. Stratman Jr and Ralph Stratman.
Funeral services for Paul Stratman will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (March 22, 2012) in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Friends may call 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana.
