Paul Edward Bevers, 78, Shoals

Paul Edward Bevers, 78, of Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the Veteran’s Hospital in Louisville.

Born November 5, 1945, in Terre Haute, he was the son of Bob and Betty Sherfick.

Paul graduated from Shoals High School and then entered the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War.

Following the military, he went to school for law enforcement and was an investigator with the Washington Police Department.

Paul enjoyed woodworking and driving his truck across the country.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Bevers; and stepchildren, Chuck (Beth) Hembree and Kevin Hembree.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation was chosen, and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
