Paul E. Sollman, 77, Velpen

Paul E. Sollman, 77, of Velpen, passed away at 3:24 p.m. CDT Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital’s Hospice Care Center in Evansville.

He was born May 21, 1938, in Pike County west of Holland to Emil and Hilda (Nuhring) Sollman.

Paul was a factory worker and served as Marion Township Trustee for 16 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing; attending singing performances; and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his companion of 50+ years, Rosetta Risley of Velpen; his stepson, Bobby Risley of Velpen; one sister, Ruby Messmer of St. Anthony; one brother, David (companion, Becky Jenkins of Santa Claus) Sollman of Velpen.

Funeral services for Paul E. Sollman will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Pleasant Grove/Spraggins Cemetery in Velpen. Pastor Craig Line will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, the day of the funeral.
