Paul E. Seifrig, 75, St. Meinrad

Paul E. Seifrig, 75, of St. Meinrad, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, near Canistota, South Dakota. Paul and his children were taking a trip out west to do two of his favorite things, camp and travel. His children will continue this journey out west as they know this is something their dad would want them to do.

Paul Edward Seifrig was born December 4, 1946, in St. Meinrad to William and Opal (Kline) Seifrig.

He attended Dale High School and went on to serve in the US Army from 1965 to 1969.

On October 6, 1978, Paul married Linda Hopkins at St. Meinrad Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post 124, VFW Post 2366, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the St Meinrad Knights of Columbus #559. In 2009 Paul retired from the Operating Engineers, Local 181.

He is survived by his children, Crystal (Steve) Hayes of St. Meinrad and Jesse (Ashley) of Birdseye; six grandchildren, Kynse Boyle, Trenton Boyle, Stylz Garmon, Paige Seifrig, Mya Seifrig and Jaxon Seifrig; three step-grandchildren; Ashley Holmes, Stephen Hayes and Tasha Hayes; siblings, Roger (Mary Ellen) Seifrig, Alice Stillwell, Millie (Larry) Harpenau and Donnie (Kathy) Seifrig and several nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, his parents, and siblings Louis, Teddy, Ralph, Leroy, Dorothy, Pat and Helen.
