Paul E. Allen, 64, Jasper

Paul E. Allen, 64, of Jasper, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

Paul was born in Washington on December 1, 1952, to Thomas Jefferson and Delores (Harder) Allen.

He was a 1971 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School. Paul was a United States Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War era. he was a truck driver for Boyd Trucking for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his mother, Delores Allen of Jasper; four daughters, Melissa Allen of Washington, April Harp (Nick) of Jasper, Amber Sutton (Travis) of Jasper and Loretta Allen of Jasper; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet Doscher (Kevin) of Cannelburg; two brothers, Lonnie Allen (Carolyn) of Washington and Terry Allen (Pamela) of Jasper.

Preceding him in death are his father, Thomas Jefferson Allen; one son, Timothy Allen; and one granddaughter, Audra Bath.

A grave site service for Paul E. Allen will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Bethany Cemetery in Washington, Indiana. The American Legion Post #121 will conduct military graveside rights.
