Paul Blessinger, 81

Paul Blessinger, age 81 of Jasper, passed away at 12:09 p.m on Thursday (June 6, 2013) at Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana.

Paul was born in Jasper, IN on August 8, 1931 to Leo and Florentine (Merkley) Blessinger.

He was a farmer and a heavy equipment operator for Knies Construction for many years.

He served in the Indiana National Guard.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana and the Jasper Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed fishing and was known as “Kingfish”, he also enjoyed hunting, and playing cards.

Preceding him in death are three sisters, Lucille Ambs, Dorothy Burke, and Rose Marie Wehr. Two brothers, Conrad Blessinger and Edwin Blessinger.

Funeral services for Paul Blessinger will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (June 10, 2013) at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, IN, with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper, IN.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday (June 10, 2013) at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, IN.
