Patty Henson, 86, Petersburg

Patty Henson, 86, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026, at The Villages at Oak Ridge in Washington, Ind.

She was born in Petersburg to Charles & Julia (Coleman) Goodpasture. She attended Petersburg First Church of God and worked as a homemaker; she also worked for several years with Head Start.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Henson; her daughter, Becky Henson; her brothers, Charles, Jack, and Bobby Goodpasture, and Donald Wolven; her sisters, Charlene Young and Joyce Miles; and her son-in-law, Scott Sorgius.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Sorgius; son, Donnie (Melanie) Henson; grandchildren, Morgan Henson, Maverick (Shelby) Henson, Cameron Henson, Coleman Henson, Tyce (Kayla) Sorgius, and Peyton Sorgius; great-grandchildren, Holden and Wes Henson; sister, Betty Adams, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana, with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Joe Henson and Pastor Mike Roach. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
