Patricia Scheeter, age 46 of Jasper, passed away at 11:50 p.m., Monday (December 31, 2012) at home.

Patricia was born on September 24, 1966 in Gomez Palace, Durango, Mexico. She married Ted Scheeter on October 29, 2005 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN.

She taught nutrition classes for Purdue University Extension Office in Jasper. She was a religious education teacher for St. Joseph Catholic Church where she taught first communion preparation for the Hispanic community. She coordinated hispanic activities, such as the children’s choir, the Guadalupe festival, and the Matachines dancers. She was a lector and Eucharistic minister. She was also on the Diocesan Hispanic ministry commission. She decorated for vacation bible school and many other activities. She received the Simon Brute award in 2010.

She was instrumental in the integration of the Hispanic community into the St. Joseph Parish. She coordinated prayer groups within the Hispanic community. She also performed Spanish translation work for many organizations within the community.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

She enjoyed decorating for parties.

Husband, Ted Scheeter; two sons, Kevin Gloria and Karim Robles Eldon at home; one daughter, Elizabeth Scheeter.

Parents, Dario and Maria Robles of Juarez, Mexico.

Brothers Francisco, Ricardo, Reuben Robles of Juarez, Mexico

Sisters, Cecilia Robles Jaime and Luzelena Robles Rodriguez of Juarez, Mexico

Preceding Patricia in death is one brother, Reuben Robles, who died in infancy.

Funeral services for Patricia Scheeter will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (January 5, 2013) at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow at a later date.

Friends may call from 2:00- 8:00 p.m. on Friday (January 4, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Guadalupe Center in Huntingburg, or a favorite charity.
