Patricia Mary Stutsman, 83, Santa Claus

Patricia Mary Stutsman, 83, of Santa Claus, died on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at her home with her family by her side.

Patricia was born in Dale on August 26, 1938, to Theodore Wahl and Esther Streicher.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Ray Neighbors; second husband, James R. Stutsman; sister, Doris Clayton; and grandson, Christopher Lee Sunday.

She is survived by her children, Stanley Neighbors (Debbie) of Santa Claus, Danny Neighbors (Pam) of Lamar, Kenny Neighbors (Sarah) of Santa Claus, Randy Neighbors (Ashlee) of Rockport, Teresa Sauter (Brian) of Grandview, and Pam Sunday (Jay) of Tomball, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Patricia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale. She worked as a waitress for the very popular “Windell’s Cafe” in Dale. She became the postmaster of Gentryville in 1970 and retired in 1998. 

A graveside service is planned for Monday, July 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. CDT at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gentryville. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to “Heart To Heart” at 415 E 6th St, Jasper, IN, 47546.
