Patricia Jean Mathias, 66, Bloomington

Patricia Jean Mathias, 66, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2020, at IU Health Bloomington.

She was born March 10, 1954 in Washington, Indiana to the late Victor J. and Anna Jean (Tewell) Mathias. 

Patty graduated from Loogootee High School in 1972 and was an Indiana University graduate. She then went to work at GE and retired in 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor J. and Anna Jean (Tewell) Mathias.

Patty is survived by her special aunt and godmother, Dorothy May Bradley of Indianapolis; siblings, Martha (Alex) Hamilton of Bloomington and Rick (Lisa) Mathias of Loogootee; five nieces and one nephew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loogootee.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
