Patricia J. Gootee, 85

Patricia J. Gootee, age 85, of Jasper, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Monday (July 1, 2013) at Brookside Village in Jasper.

She was born on April 28, 1928 to Edward and Lucille (Malloy) Hallihan. She married Francis H. Gootee on June 24, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2013.

She was a homemaker, a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Jasper Chapter of Tri-Kappa Sorority, the Serra Club, and the Jasper Community Players.

She enjoyed needlepoint, playing bridge, the theater, and shopping.

Marita Gootee and her partner Wendy Roussin, Starkville, MS

Maureen Gootee and her partner Angela Steele, Columbus, OH

Two Sons,

Edward Gootee and wife Fay, Floyd Knobs, IN

David Gootee and partner Mark Gilley, Orlando, FL

Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death beside her husband is one son, Michael Gootee.

Funeral services for Patricia J. Gootee will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (July 6, 2013) at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.

Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., on Friday (July 5, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
