Patricia A. “Pat” Braun, 86, Jasper

Patricia A. “Pat” Braun, 86, of Jasper, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, in the Timbers of Jasper, in Jasper.

Pat was born in St. Anthony on April 12, 1933, to Herbert and Tillie (Schuch) Englert. She married John Braun on September 12, 1953, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.

She was a 1951 graduate of Jasper High School. Pat was a stenographer for Kimball International and then worked in customer service in Wal-Mart.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, St. Ann’s Society, and Jasper D of I.

She enjoyed nature — especially birds and butterflies, reading, music, singing, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, John Braun of Jasper; two daughters, Barb McAtee of Jasper and Beth King of Evansville; one son-in-law, Duane Chattin of Vincennes; four grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Lee Witcher of Ft. Wayne and Darlene (Ben) Drabing of French Lick; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death is one daughter, Brenda Chattin.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia A. “Pat” Braun, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow at a later date.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Friday.
