Patoka National Wildlife Refuge volunteers needed
Stuck in a rut? Looking for something meaningful to do? Enjoy the outdoors? This opportunity may be just the thing you are looking for.
The Friends of Patoka River National Wildlife Refuge is seeking volunteers to assist with maintenance at the Refuge. The Refuge Staff has been cut to the bare bones and are relying on volunteers to help keep the Refuge up and running. Workdays are typically held once a month during the week, and generally, in the mornings. Activities could include trail maintenance, trimming and mowing, trash pick up, invasive species removal, helping at special events,
and other odd jobs that may come up. Native garden maintenance is also a possibility. Tools are supplied by the Refuge.
