Pat Jochem, 83, Huntingburg

Pat Jochem, 83, of Huntingburg, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017, at St. Charles Health Center in Jasper.

She was born on October 28, 1934, in Huntingburg, Indiana to William and Louise (Pfaff) Heitz. She married Pete Jochem on September 29, 1956, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.

Pat was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was active in their religious community. She was an accountant with Farm Credit for most of her life. The joy of Pat’s life was her family, and in particular, her three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Jochem, who passed away July 24, 2011; one sister, Emmogyne Schwartz; and one brother, Fred Heitz.

She is survived by her son, Todd (Barb) Jochem of Gibsonia, Penn.; one brother, Russel Heitz of Bretzville; and three grandchildren, Emma, Ben and Eli.

Funeral services for Pat Jochem will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Michael Madden.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. A parish rosary prayer vigil, led by Deacon Tom Holsworth, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
