Partnership Milestone Monument erected at Jasper Train Depot

Sister Cities of Jasper, Inc., the Dubois County Stone Carver Group, and the Stone Carvers Group of Pfaffenweiler worked together to have a permanent historical monument erected in Jasper at the Jasper Train Depot. 

The monument was designed by the Dubois County Stone Carvers, a group of individuals who meet at the Dubois County Museum and practice the art of hand-carving stone under the direction of Master Stone Carver Jim Corn. 

The Monument features the Partnership logo and important dates of the Jasper and Pfaffenweiler Partnership, serving as a visual representation of the various milestones that have contributed to this successful partnership over the past 40 years.  

Benefactors of the Partnership Milestone Monument include the Friends of the Arts, the Donna and Joe Buehler and Family, the Eckerle Family Foundation, the Claude and Martina Eckert Family, the Indiana German Heritage Society, and the Dubois County Community Foundation.  Supporters include the Sister Cities of Jasper, Seufert Construction Co., Schum Monuments, the City of Jasper, and Mehringer Plumbing and HVAC.
