Parklands to close for controlled burn on Monday

A controlled burn planned for The Parklands will close the park at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 19.

Parkgoers are asked to remove their vehicles and vacate the premises by 9:30 a.m. so preparations can begin. All entrances, including vehicular and walking, will remain closed after the fire until further notice. Access will not be permitted through the Culver’s or 15th Street entrances or the walking-path entrances.

Updates on reopening can be found on the Jasper Park and Recreation Facebook page after the burn is complete. Barricades at the parking areas will be removed once the area has reopened.
