ParkerStore opens in Huntingburg

“We want to be the Ace Hardware in the hydraulic, pneumatic, and motion control industry,” said Todd Kesler, Director of Strategic Initiatives and Distribution Services at Air Hydro Power, the company that opened the new ParkerStore in Huntingburg.

Located in the same shopping center as its fellow Houchens Industries companies, Ace Hardware and Sheldon’s Pharmacy in Huntingburg, the ParkerStore provides hose, fitting, hydraulic, pneumatic, and filtration products and services for a wide variety of industrial and agricultural needs.

The new store will celebrate its grand opening on October 10 with an open house, door prizes and food from Oink, Inc. The flyer attached below provides more information about the event.

According to Kesler, Louisville-based Air Hydro Power opened the store in Huntingburg because of the connection to the adjacent stores and the availability of customers in the region.

“Huntingburg and Jasper is a nice area for us to target with our partner, Ace (Hardware),” Kesler explained. “Having that type of exposure in Huntingburg and knowing we have a lot of underserved customers there, we decided to put a store in.”

“Our plan is to target the retail walk-in customers and to take care the MRO (Maintenance Repair and Operations) and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) markets that we have established there,” Kesler added.

Air Hydro Power franchises the ParkerStore in about 32 markets in the country, including four stores in Louisville and one in Evansville.

One area the store excels in is carrying hard-to-find metric parts for more specialized applications in addition to those thread sizes needed for agricultural applications. They also manufacture custom hoses while you wait.

“We’ve probably got about 3,500 different products on the shelves inside the store,” Kesler said, adding they have access to $20 million in inventory overnight or same day.

The 5,000-square-foot store located at 1810 North Main Street in Huntingburg is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The number is (930) 219 – 5833.
