Paducah, Ky. artist’s work on display at Krempp Gallery in October
The Krempp Gallery at the Jasper Arts Center will present Paducah, Kentucky graphite artist, Randy Simmons for the month of October.

Simmons’ large graphite and charcoal drawings are mostly auto-biographical with much inspiration coming from his two teenage boys.
“I work with social/political themes, relationship themes as well as being inspired by my own childhood. My latest series of drawings have a sense of storytelling quirkiness to them that hold as much mystery and devoid of explanation,” stated Simmons.
Simmons is a recipient of two Kentucky Arts Council Grants, one in 2005 and one in 2007. He is currently a Professor of Art for the Kentucky Institute for International Studies, teaching drawing classes and art study abroad courses in photography and drawing.
Simmons holds a Master of Fine Arts in drawing from the University of Cincinnati, Master of Arts in drawing from Murray State University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Murray State University.
