Otwell man arrested for allegedly raping a Jasper woman

Pike County Sheriff’s Department arrested Donald A. Demotte, 27, of 10135 E. County Road 200N, for allegedly raping a Jasper woman.

According to authorities, an investigation was opened Sunday after a 23-year-old woman came to the Jasper Police Department to report she was sexually assaulted by Demotte at a Jasper residence earlier in the day.

Pike County Sheriff’s Department picked Demotte up at his residence today after the Dubois County Circuit Court issued warrants for his arrest for Level 3 felony Rape, Level 6 felony sexual battery, and class A misdemeanor battery.

Demotte is lodged in the Dubois County Security Center with a $4,000 cash only bond.
