Opal (Lillian) Rohrscheib, 85
Opal (Lillian) Rohrscheib, age 85 of Dubois passed away on Thursday (December 29, 2011) at her home.
She was born October 16, 1926 in Petersburg, Indiana to Spencer and Rosa (Fox) Russell. She married Frank W. Rohrscheib Jr. on February 3, 1945; he preceded her in death on April 28, 1989.
Opal was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville for over 65 years and WELCA of St. Paul’s church and a member of the women’s quilting group.
Opal and her late husband operated Frank’s Bar in Haysville, from 1947 -1967, she also operated a beauty shop.
She enjoyed oil painting and became a serious painter at the age of 74 and loved visiting relative and nursing home patients in nursing homes and a regular monthly group meeting at St. Charles Health Campus.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one son Dennis Rohrscheib and one granddaughter Nancy Raufeisen. Also five brothers, Harold, Noel, Lowell (Cotton) Eddie and Delmas Russell and one sister, Diana Foster
Funeral services for Opal will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (December 31, 2011) in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Saturday (December 31, 2011) until service time at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville.
