Opal Anna Burton, 95, French Lick

Opal Anna Burton, 95, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2021.

She was born in Dubois County on June 24, 1925, to Perry F. Stevens and Bertie B. (Harris) Stevens.

Opal married Charles Norman Burton on May 9, 1945, and he preceded her in death on November 13, 1994.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; four brothers; and one granddaughter.

Opal is survived by three sons, Kenneth M. Burton of Stanton, Ky., Norman E. Burton of Owingsville, Ky., and Charles “Chuck” Burton (Sierra) of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; two brothers, Ernest Stevens (Opal Lea) of French Lick and Perry Dean Stevens (Janet) of French Lick; one sister, Betty Moffatt of Augusta, Ga.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Ceremony will be Saturday, March 6, 2021, at noon at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow in Crystal Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, March 5, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Guests are required to wear masks and practice social distancing (6 ft).
