One new death, 16 new Covid-19 cases reported over weekend
The Dubois County Health Department reported another death related to Covid-19.
“We mourn the death and extend our prayers and sympathies to the family and friends of this individual,” said Dubois County Health Officer Dr. Ted Waflart. “This serves as an unfortunate reminder to the entire Dubois County community of the importance of following recommended guidelines to stop the spread of this virus and help protect our most vulnerable neighbors. We cannot emphasize enough for all of you to use a mask
when they are around others, practicing social distancing and washing their hands frequently. “
Also over the weekend, 16 new positive cases of Covid-19 were diagnosed.
Saturday, there was one new death 13 new cases reported; Sunday there was one, Monday there were two more reported.
This brings the total number of cases in Dubois County to 911. Of the 911 cases, 783 have reportedly recovered and 18 residents have died. According to the health department, 7823 residents have been tested.
