Ollie Doublemont, 70, Petersburg

Ollie Doublemont, 70, of Petersburg, passed away on August 26, 2023, at his residence.

He was born August 21, 1952, to Dan and Mildred (Doyle) Doublemont in Richmond, Ind.

Ollie was a faithful member of the Petersburg Free Methodist Church. He was a proud coal miner and loved fishing and gardening.

Ollie is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sandra Sue Doublemont; nephew, Dr. Jay (Kevin Axsom) Dickerson; niece, Angela (Scott) Chandler; great-niece, Tyler Chandler and Parker Chandler; cousin, Scott Dudley.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Services for Ollie will take place at 2 p.m. EST on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg with visitation from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023, and 1 p.m. until service time on Friday.

Burial will follow the service at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg.
