Olivia A. Hagedorn, 94, of Ferdinand passed away Sunday morning in Scenic Hills Care Center, Ferdinand.

She was born September 14, 1920 in Perry County to Edward & Emma (Hubert) Naviaux. She married Clarence A. Hagedorn on April 18, 1939 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Perry County. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1990.

Olivia was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish and its St. Ann’s Sodality; Ferdinand Daughters of Isabella and Ferdinand American Legion Post 124 Auxillary. Olivia was a cook at The Convent of Immaculate Conception, Ferdinand and a cook at Ferdinand American Legion Home. Olivia was an avid quilter, gardener and a wonderful cook and baker.

Olivia is survived by four sons, John Hagedorn and wife, Marilyn, of Ferdinand, Michael Hagedorn and wife, Karen, of Bristow, Bernard Hagedorn and wife, Deborah, of Vincennes, and Fred Hagedorn and wife, Belle Ann, of Ferdinand; four daughters, Laverne Grundhoefer and husband, Robert, of Santa Claus, Mary Ann Hoge and husband, Bill, of Zionsville, Rosalie Denu and husband, John, of Jasper, and Clara Pfister and husband, Michael, of Evansville; one sister, Alma Cook of Plainfield, Ind.; twenty-one grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Naviaux and one sister, Irene Mosby.

Funeral services 10:00 AM Wednesday in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 7 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand.
