OFS donates 10,000 masks to Memorial Hospital

Tuesday, OFS donated and delivered 10,000 level 1 masks to the staff at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.

Ryan Menke, vice president of sales and marketing at OFS, and Molly Prior, director of marketing at OFS, were met by Memorial Hospital caregivers holding signs that said, “Thank You OFS for Protecting Us!”

“The generosity shown by OFS and from the communities we serve is humbling,” said Melanie Powell, Memorial Hospital Director of Business Development and Marketing. “Our caregivers have been the recipients of meals, sweet treats, and words of kindness and prayer. We thank OFS and those businesses and individuals who have thought of us and supported us in these challenging times. Please know that your support means the world to us.”

This type of personal protective equipment has been very difficult to obtain recently.

“We want to say thank you to these heroes and warriors,” Menke said. “It’s our duty as a part of this community to help these front line workers.”

Prior echoed his statement, “This is an opportunity for us to give back to those serving on the front line,” she said.

OFS has transitioned to creating some personal PPE through its operations in Indiana, California and North Carolina. “We’ve produced more than 3,000 washable masks that we are circulating into the communities we are in,” Menke said.

He and Prior added that the level of dedication by the OFS employees throughout the company has been exemplary.
