Norman V. Lange, 79

Norman V. Lange, 79, of Ferdinand passed away Tuesday February 24, 2015 in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, Jasper.

He was born April 13, 1935 in Ferdinand to Herman & Ida (Begle) Lange.

He married Sharon M. Rogier on August 22,1987 in St. Isidore Catholic Church in Bristow.

Norman retired from Styline Furniture, Manufacturing Division after 46 years. He was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish. He enjoyed watching game shows, attending car shows, and especially loved Corvettes. He enjoyed being with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Sharon M. Lange; daughter, Holly Lange of Ferdinand; two sisters, Bernita Metz and husband Linus of St. Anthony and Lastie Carl of New Albany; one brother, Donald Hoppenjans and wife Ann of Ferdinand; sisters-in-law, Aleene Lange and Anna Lange, both of Ferdinand.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Alfred “Shorty”, John, & Ernest Lange; one sister, Hermina “Minnie” Hoppenjans.

Funeral services 10:00 a.m. Friday in Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.
