Norma Jean Padgett, 78, Dale

Norma Jean Padgett, 78, of Dale, passed away at 12:35 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

She was born May 27, 1940, in Jasper to Carl W. and Thelma Margaret (Ritter) Miles.

Norma was a member of the Gentryville United Methodist Church. She loved her dogs and spending time with her family during their Monday evening get-togethers.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Carl Miles.

She is survived by two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Linda L. (Danny Joe) Risley of Lithia, Fla., and Betty Lou (Darrel) Jenkins of Dale; and by nine nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Norma Padgett will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST (10:00 a.m., CST) Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at the Dale Cemetery in Dale, Indiana. Reverend Charlotte Lee will officiate.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home from 3:00-9:00 p.m. EST (2:00-8:00 p.m. CST) Monday, November 12, 2018. Memorial contributions can be made to the Gentryville United Methodist Church Building Fund.
