Nine students win Kimball International annual college scholarship
Jasper — Kimball Internation announced nine children of employees earned scholarships under the company’s annual college scholarship program.
As of this year, 386 Kimball scholarships worth over $3 million have been awarded since the program started in 1963.
Each of the nine students will receive a one-time $1,200 scholarship.
The winners are:

Rachel Chattin, daughter of Lisa Chattin, of Washington, Ind., is a Washington High School graduate. Lisa is employed with Corporate Shared Services in Jasper, Ind.

Rachel Hedinger, daughter of Kurt Hedinger, of Jasper, Ind., is a Jasper High School graduate. Kurt is an employee of Kimball Electronics in Jasper, Ind.

Chad Hoffman, son of Julie Hoffman, of Dubois, Ind., is a Northeast Dubois High School graduate. Julie is an employee of Kimball Office in Jasper, Ind.

Jared Matsel, son of Jack and Karen Matsel, of Jasper, Ind., is a Jasper High School graduate. Jack is an employee of Furniture Group Shared Services, and Karen is an employee of Kimball Electronics Shared Services in Jasper, Ind.

Shelby Merder, daughter of Lisa Merder, of Jasper, Ind., is a Jasper High School graduate. Lisa is an employee of National Office Furniture in Jasper, Ind.

Emily Richardson, daughter of Curtis Richardson, of Shoals, Ind., is a Shoals Jr./Sr. High School graduate. Curtis is an employee of Kimball Electronics in Jasper, Ind.

Michaela Stemle, daughter of Connie Stemle, of Dubois, Ind., is a Northeast Dubois High School graduate. Connie is an employee of Logistics Services in Jasper, Ind.

Allison Welp, daughter of Duane Welp, of Jasper, Ind., is a Jasper High School graduate. Duane is an employee of Kimball Electronics in Jasper, Ind.
Ryan Karl, son of Robert Karl, of Export, Pa., is a Penn-Trafford High School graduate. Robert is a field sales employee of National Office Furniture. (No photo available)
The Kimball International Scholarship Program offers educational opportunities to qualified young men and women who are children/dependents of full-time employees of the company. Eligible students may apply for one-time scholarships. Recipients were chosen by a committee entirely independent of Kimball.
Since 1952, The Kimball International-Habig Foundation has contributed nearly $12.9 million to all kinds of charities and other worthwhile community causes — including funding the scholarship program.
