Nicholson declares Republican candidacy for Jasper Clerk Treasurer

Cindy Nicholson has announced as a Republican candidate for the position of Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Jasper. The 50-year old lifelong resident of Jasper has been office manager for her family’s company, Gudorf Supply Co. of Jasper and is also employed at the Doodlebug.
Nicholson considers her years in business as one of her key assets. “I’ve been responsible for all tax filings, administration of various financial floorplans, warranty processing and scheduling of service personnel in response to our customer’s needs”, said Nicholson. “The organizational skills I’ve performed for the last 31 years will adapt very well into the work I will do for the City of Jasper if elected.”

In addition, Nicholson has organized, coordinated and helped host numerous athletic tournaments in the city throughout the years. She’s been an officeholder in seven different athletic leagues or booster clubs, including several stints as president or treasurer. As a coach in youth sports for more than 20 years, Nicholson has had an opportunity to see Jasper’s young residents at their competitive best and she believes the Clerk-Treasurer position will have influence on decisions which make Jasper a better place to live.
Nicholson resides in Jasper with her husband, Keith. They are the parents of a daughter, Mrs. Adam (Jenny) Martindale, and they have a one-year old grandson.
