New site helps folks support their favorite Southern Indiana businesses
A new website created by a Jasper native is helping Southern Indiana small businesses connect with customers and fans to help them stay in business during this hard time.

The waves from the economic impact of this disease are capsizing small businesses in this unprecedented time and Jenna (Stratman) Murillo decided to create the new site as a lifeline and connection.
“Small businesses need our support locally now more than ever,” Jenna said. “I understand first hand the challenges of keeping the doors open when adversity hits and I have countless friends and acquaintances with small businesses seeking ways to stay connected and engaged with their customers right now.”
SupportLocalSoIN.com bridges a gap between small businesses and consumers in the area. Through the simple, easy to navigate site, residents can scroll to find out how they can help their favorite businesses.
“Support can come in a variety of unique ways; this site gives businesses a chance to share with consumers the best way to support them during this unprecedented time and a way for consumers to support businesses they love and discover new ones in the process,” Jenna said.

Businesses seeking to join can fill out a simple online form answering a few questions including providing some details on how folks can help them during this time. Then upload an image and Jenna will update the site with your information.
In this confusing time and with the multiple groups attempting to get their information out to the public on social media, the site provides an easy and accessible direction for costumers to search and help.
“Even if and when the restrictions are lifted for Indiana, I hope this will continue to be a valuable resource, as I know it’ll take quite awhile for small businesses to really get back to normal,” Jenna said.
