New group forming to empower local women

Women-Empowering-Women_Kick-Off-Event-InvitationAll women in business who live or work in Dubois County are invited to attend the kick-off event of a newly formed women’s leadership group, Women Empowering Women (WEW).

The peer-to-peer group will be a support network for busy working women in Dubois County.

Nancy Eckerle, the Jasper Chamber executive director, developed a steering committee of women business leaders about a year ago to develop the new group.

Indiana’s Lieutenant Governor, Sue Ellspermann, will be the first guest speaker for an event to be held on Friday, February 13, 2015, at KlubHaus 61, 2031 Newton Street in Jasper, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

This event will be an opportunity to learn about the women’s leadership group and how to become a member.

The mission of Women Empowering Women is to inspire women in business to reach their highest potential by instilling confidence, building networks, and promoting community in Dubois County.

A schedule of informative programs has been developed for 2015 and will be shared at the event.

Reservations for the kick-off event should be made by February 6th by calling the Jasper Chamber of Commercev at 812-482-6866 or by emailing chamber@jasperin.org .

The cost for the event is $10.00 per person; lunch is included.

Prepayment to the Jasper Chamber is preferred. Either mail to the Jasper Chamber at P.O. Box 307 or bring to 302 West 6th Street.  Dress is business attire.
