New evening preschool being launched by Southwest School Corp

The Southwest Dubois County School Corporation is launching the Little Raider evening preschool in January for Huntingburg children.

This special program will introduce incoming kindergartners to some of the skills necessary for learning.

Teachers will teach: Stories, songs, art, letters, numbers, shapes and colors, drawing, cutting, coloring, pasting. They will learn learning skills: sharing, taking turns, following directions Physical activity: running, jumping, hopping on one foot.

The new program has room for 30 children who are not attending a preschool program at this time. If your child turns 5 before October 1 and is not in a preschool program at this time, you can enroll in the new program.

Family engagement night every tuesday and we’ll share a meal.

Reserva tu lugar mandando un correo en español a sandovalr@swdubois.k12.in.us o llamando al teléfono en el volante, cupo limitado. Los maestros enseñarán: Cuentos, canciones, arte, letras, números, formas y colores, dibujar, recortar, colorear, pegar, aprenderán habilidades para el aprendizaje: compartir, tomar turnos, seguir instrucciones. Actividad física: correr, brincar, saltar con un pie.

Además, tendremos sesiones en español para padres donde platicaremos de temas importantes para el desarrollo integral de tu hijo o hija.
