New conservationist joins Dubois County Soil and Water Conservation District

The Dubois County Soil and Water Conservation District announced Arthur Franke had joined the organization as the new detailed district conservationist.

Franke is a LaGrange County native and a Purdue graduate. He grew up on his family’s seven-acre apple orchard. While at Purdue he studied agronomy, crop and soil science, natural resources, forestry, and environmental studies. Franke was most recently a member of the NRCS office in Fort Wayne.

As a detailed district conservationist, Franke will be stationed at the Jasper NRCS office for 120 days starting May 14 and continuing into September.

He brings knowledge and experience to Dubois County.
