Navy Club celebrating U.S. Navy’s 250th anniversary

Navy Club USA, Ship #90 of Dubois County, is celebrating the U.S. Navy’s 250th anniversary on Saturday, October 11, beginning at 4 p.m. at the VFW Post #673 located at 3131 Newton Street, Jasper.

This celebration is open to members of Ship #90, as well as all Navy, Marine, and Coast Guard Veterans who would like to commemorate the Navy and it’s 250 years of guarding the seas. 

To help celebrate the Navy’s Birthday and have some fun, please bring some photos from your days in the NAVY, MARINES or COAST GUARD like your “Boot Camp” photo, cruise book or some liberty photos if you dare to share.  There will be a good time reminiscing and hearing some good sea stories.  

If you were a sailor, a marine or a member of the Coast Guard who would like to attend, please  RSVP by calling 812-631-0767, Ken Schuetter, Commander of Ship #90, by Friday, October 3rd. A dinner catered by the Schnitzelbank will be served. The cost of the catered meal is $10 per person with a cash bar available.
