National Office announces $4,000 video contest
Jasper — National Office Furniture announced a new video contest to support sustainability initiatives at schools and universities with $4,000.
That is the pay-off behind National Office Furniture’s new Green4Green contest, which intertwines two of the office furniture company’s passions: the environment and education.
“All you need to do is create a video describing how $4,000 could enhance your school’s environmental efforts,” says Kourtney Smith, Vice President, Marketing, National. “We’ll award two schools or universities some green to help them be green.”
The video’s main message should convey how the cash prize will aid in an educational institution’s environmentally-friendly project. The video should be no more than three minutes and should be submitted on YouTube by midnight, May 15, 2014.
Videos should be submitted on National’s Facebook page or go to www.NationalOfficeFurniture.com/Education
Submissions should include the name of a faculty/staff member from the school or university who supports the project. If contestants are under 18 years old, videos should be submitted by the designated faculty/staff member or other adult.
After May 15, finalists will be selected based on creativity and environmental impact. Online voting to determine the two winners will run from June 2 to July 31, 2014.
“We hope to be overwhelmed with originality,” says Smith. “Oh, and one more thing: Make sure your video is filled with personality. After all, National is known in our market as ‘Furniture with Personality.’ Make your Green4Green video so compelling with personality that it makes the other videographers green with envy.”
