Nancy E. Pence, 73, Jasper

Nancy E. Pence, 73, Jasper, formerly of Wabash and Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 5:34 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at the Timbers of Jasper.
Nancy was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on September 18, 1943, to John and Norene (Lasher) Studinski. She married Stephen Pence on July 3, 1972, in Warsaw, Indiana.
She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.
She enjoyed playing cards, flower gardening, and spending time with her cat and her grandchildren.
He is survived by her husband, Stephen Pence of Jasper; one daughter, Polly Sumansky and husband Brad of Terre Haute; one son, John Householder and wife Cathy of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Ryan, Grant, and Zachary Householder, and Joseph and Anna Sumansky; one great-grandchild, Casen Householder; one sister, Mary McDowell of Marysville, Wash.; two brothers, Tom Studinski and wife Suzanne of Ft. Wayne and Jim Studinski and wife Joleen of Ft. Wayne.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Nancy E. Pence will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow at a later date.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at church on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
