Mrs. Carol Jean Naugle, 80, Salem
Mrs. Carol Jean Naugle, 80, of Salem, passed away Monday, December 28 at Salem Crossing with her daughter by her side.

Mrs. Naugle was born July 16, 1940 in Birdseye the daughter of James Stillmen and Susie Marie Harlen Hobbs.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Salem Ward and she loved to shop.
Carol married Irvin E. Naugle on August 9, 1958 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2018.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Gregory Allen Naugle; a brother, Charles O. Hobbs Sr.; a sister, Deloris Sullivan; a great-granddaughter, Delainy Sage Cutrell; and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickey (Pat) Sumpter of Richmond, Ky.; two grandchildren, Thomas (Katie) Cutrell of Brownsburg, Ind. and Chelsea (James) Carnine of Rockville, Ind.; five great-grandchildren, Draike Cutrell of Salem, Mallory Grace Cutrell of Brownsburg, Hudson Cutrell of Brownsburg, Josh Carnine of Michigan and Brandon Carnine of North Carolina; one brother, Junior (Ollie) Hobbs of Huntingburg.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Weathers Funeral Home. Services can be viewed on Weathers Funeral Home Facebook page for those that cannot attend. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to the time of service and due to Covid restrictions is limited to 25 people at one time and masks are required.
