Mowing accident kills Jasper man

A man was killed when the tractor he was operating rolled over Thursday evening.

According to authorities, Ken Meyer, 59, of 4288W 675N, is believed to have died from blunt force trauma caused when the John Deere tractor he was operating rolled over while he was mowing a bank on property along 700N southeast of Portersville. The bank was along the dam of a pond on the property, according to police.

Authorities responded to the call at 10:43 p.m.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, the Haysville Volunteer Fire Department, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services and the Dubois County Coroner’s Office.
