Motorcyclist killed in Crawford County crash
Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday afternoon on State Road 164.
According to deputies, the 4 p.m. crash occurred when an eastbound Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a minor turned into the path of an approaching motorcycle on State Road 164 at Dillard Road. The motorcycle struck the car and both occupants were ejected.
The motorcycle operator, Michael Parker of Bedford, died at the scene and the passenger, his wife, Charity Parker, was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital by helicopter for treatment of serious injuries. A minor in the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries.
Police said, the driver of the Chevrolet admitted they did not see the motorcycle before turning.
The crash is still under investigation.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department reminded drivers to be cautious and alert for motorcyclists on the roadways.
