Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company is excited to announce that Morgan Peter will be doing an internship with the bank this summer.

Morgan will assist the marketing department with a wide range of projects while also shadowing other departments within the bank.

The foundational values of the Springs Valley Bank Internship Program includes a focus on attracting local talent to the bank, and identifying potential future employees. Other benefits of the program include revitalizing our organization with fresh perspectives, and supporting students in our local markets by providing a vocational experience that will aid in their long-term development.

“Our program focuses on giving back to the community by influencing and encouraging local talent to pursue a career in our local communities upon graduation,” said Craig Buse, SVP & COO of Springs Valley.

Morgan is a 2013 graduate of Southridge High School. She will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in December of 2016 in business marketing and management from Indiana University Southeast.

Ms. Peter is involved in coaching gymnastics and cheerleading at Flip &Twist Gymnastics and waitresses at the Young Men’s Institute in Huntingburg. She was a member of the Indiana University Southeast cheerleading team and student mentor program for the past three years. She was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success this past April.

“I am excited about the new experiences and opportunities that Springs Valley Bank & Trust has to offer,” said Peter. “I am eager to expand my knowledge and provide new perspectives to assist with the continuous growth of this company.”

“The Internship will provide Morgan the opportunity to assess her interest and abilities in the marketing field and develop and apply skills in the application of theory to practical work situations,” said Dianna Land, VP and Human Resources/Marketing Director of Springs Valley.
