Monolea (Crowder) Rose, 87, French Lick

Monolea (Crowder) Rose, 87, of French Lick, died on October 13, 2023 at the home of her son, Edward W. Rose.

Monolea was born on January 16, 1936, in Dubois County, to the late Everett and Pearl (Greenwood) Crowder.

Monolea married Kerrill W. Rose in 1951 and to this union had five sons.

Monolea was a homemaker, loving wife, seamstress, and a former lineworker for Catalytic Converter Manufacturing. She loved to quilt and was a very talented artist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kerrill W. Rose; sons, Kerry and Jon Rose, a grandson, Raymand Rose, and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons: Steve Rose of French Lick, Indiana, Edward W. Rose (Dale) of English, Indiana, and Danny Rose of French Lick, Indiana; a brother, Clyde Crowder of Shoals, Indiana; a sister, Colleen Sample of Winchester, Indiana; and grandchildren: Mark Rose, Amy Hickey, Andy Rose, Isaac Rose, Patrick Rose, Steven Rose, and Danny Rose.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Springs Valley Wesleyan Church, 586 S. Indiana Avenue, French Lick, Indiana 47432. Interment will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, French Lick, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the church.

Rev. John Moffatt will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Austin Stout, Ron Crowder, Dale Rose, Josh Briggs, Thomas Rose, and Noah Glass.

Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements.
