Closures, cancellations and adjustments

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but includes those organizations that have reached out to us to share their closure or cancellation information.

  • Tri-County YMCA: All activities at ALL locations are CANCELLED on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026. The Clem and Mary Lange YMCA facility will also be closed.
  • Clem and Mary Lange YMCA facility will open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday. There will be no morning childwatch, group exercise classes, or other programs, including the pool. Check back for the schedule of afternoon/evening classes.
  • Ferdinand Town Hall will be closed on Tuesday, January 27th. 
  • VU Jasper will now be closed on Tuesday, January 27.
  • The Dubois County Museum will be closed due to the snow and freezing temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 27 and 28.  Will reevaluate reopening on Thursday.
  • The Dubois County Veterans Council Meeting has been moved to Monday, Feb. 2, at the Huntingburg VFW Post, starting at 7 p.m.
  • Dubois County Offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 26, for all non-essential employees due to road and weather conditions. This closing includes the trash and recycling sites.
  • The Dubois County Trash and Recycling sites will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, due to the weather conditions. Sites are regularly closed on Wednesdays, and they plan to reopen on Thursday.
  • Due to the extreme temperature and wind chill, as well as travel conditions, the Jasper Street Department will not run the trash and recycling route on Monday, January 26. They will collect your trash and regular recycling on Monday, February 2nd.
  • Thyen-Clark Cultural Center is closed Monday, Jan. 26.
  • Holland Town Hall closed Monday, Jan. 26.
  • City of Huntingburg offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to winter weather. The Street Department will continue working diligently to clear roadways. Residents are strongly encouraged to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary to allow crews to work safely and efficiently. Essential personnel will remain on duty to help ensure public safety. For utility emergencies, please contact the Huntingburg Emergency Line at (812) 683-2327.
  • Ridetech in Jasper will be closed Monday, January 26, 2026, for First and Second shift.
  • Dr. Yearsley’s office will be closed Monday, Jan. 26 and Tuesday, Jan. 27.
  • Deaconess update: Any previously scheduled telehealth visits will continue as scheduled.
  • Deaconess Urgent Care – Huntingburg will be open at 10:00AM EST.
