Miss and Teen Miss 4-H contestants

The 2019 Miss and Teen Miss Dubois County 4-H Fair contest is scheduled for Sunday, July 7, at 3:00 p.m. in the Jasper High School Auditorium. 

Admission is $5.

Here are the contestants in this year’s contest.

Teen Miss Contestants

Cambria Brown will be attending Jasper High School this fall.  Her parents are Jesse and Kari Brown and Stephanie Kemp of Jasper.  Cambria holds offices in her Young Achievers 4-H Club and also the Junior Leaders.  She is sponsored by the Dubois County 4-H Junior Leaders.

Abby Hauser is the daughter of Jason and Emily Hauser of Huntingburg.  She will be a senior this fall at Forest Park High School. After graduation, Abby would like to attend either Vanderbilt University or St. Louis University to pursue a degree in biochemistry, biomedical engineering.  Abby is sponsored by her parents.

Katelynn Stemle will be a junior at Jasper High School in the fall.  Her parents are Todd and Jennifer Stemle of Jasper. Katelynn plans to attend Purdue University after graduation and pursue a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.  Her sponsor is the Lucky Irish 4-H Club.


Miss Contestants

Sydney Bachman is the daughter of Keith and Dana Bachman of Jasper.  She is a 2019 graduate of Jasper High School. Sydney plans to attend the University of Evansville in the fall majoring in Public Health with the hopes of becoming a Physician’s Assistant.  Her sponsor is the Jasper Kiwanis Club.

Bailey Barrett is sponsored by her family.  She is the daughter of Scott and Carla Barrett of Huntingburg.  A graduate of Southridge High School, Bailey attends the University of Southern Indiana where she is majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Math.  She plans to become an Elementary Education Teacher.  

Jaclyn Haug is the daughter of Al and Tammy Haug of Ferdinand.  She will be a senior this fall at Forest Park High School. Her plans after graduation are to pursue a degree in the Medical or Geriatrics field.  Jaclyn is sponsored by Haug Family Farm.

Shelby Livingston will be a senior at Northeast Dubois High School this fall.  Her parents are Jan and Adam Livingston of Jasper. Following graduation, Shelby would like to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy and minor in Spanish.  She is sponsored by her parents.

Lauren Lubbehusen is the daughter of Ron and Dana Lubbehusen of Huntingburg.  A graduate of Forest Park High School, she attends the University of Southern Indiana studying for her degree in nursing.  Lauren is sponsored by Dana Lubbehusen. 

Hannah Mehringer attends Purdue University majoring in Agricultural Education.  She hopes to become an Agriculture Education Teacher. A graduate of Northeast Dubois High School, Hannah is the daughter of Larry and Tamra Mehringer of Jasper.  She is sponsored by River View Feed and Supplies.

Emily Nord is the daughter of Bruce and Brenda Nord of Ferdinand.  She attended VUJC and will transfer to the University of Southern Indiana in the fall. Emily is majoring in Health Sciences hoping to work in the Hospice field after graduation.  Her sponsors are The Shop on 13th, Carpet Warehouse, and Berg’s Garage

Sydney Peters is a 2019 graduate of Jasper High School. She is the daughter of David and Sabrina Peters of Jasper.  Sydney will attend Purdue University this fall studying Animal Science/Pre-Vet. She hopes to become a veterinarian.  Sydney is sponsored by the Lucky Shamrocks 4-H Club

Hailey Thayer is the daughter of Douglas and Janice Thayer of Birdseye.  A graduate of Forest Park High School, Hailey attends the University of Evansville majoring in Biology Education.  Her plans are to become a high school Biology Teacher after graduation. Hailey is sponsored by Harmon Family Chiropractic.

Amber Theising will be a senior at Forest Park High School in the fall.  Her parents are Bernie and Angie Theising of Schnellville. Amber is sponsored by the Schnellville Home Ec Club, Conservation Club, and Community Club.  She serves as Treasurer of her 4-H club and the FFA.
