Millard Anderson, 79, French Lick
Millard Anderson, 79, of French Lick, passed away peacefully at his home on July 5, 2026.

He was born in Owsley County, Ky., on May 11, 1947, to John Dillard and Martha (Allen) Anderson.
Millard married Nina Pennington on June 26, 1992, and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Millard Ray Anderson; and brother, Halan Anderson.
Millard, in his younger years, worked in the coal mines before spending 28 years at Kimball Piano. He retired from Jasper Seating and then worked part-time at Rural King.
He attended The Church at Powell Valley, and his faith was the foundation of his life and was evident in the way he served his church family and everyone fortunate to know him.
Millard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Family was his greatest treasure, and he never missed an opportunity to encourage, support and celebrate the ones he loved.
He never met a stranger – Millard had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever he went feel welcomed, valued and loved.
He found joy in life in simple pleasures – traveling, going out to eat with his wife, his love for animals, going out to the lake to fish, and just loved being outdoors.
Millard is survived by his wife, Nina Anderson of French Lick; son, Jonathan Anderson of French Lick; daughters, Melinda (Rick) Lamar of California, Jessica Rockhold of Illinois, Jill Barghower of Bedford, and Krystal (Nick) Burn of Mitchell, Ind.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren
