Milk Parlor: new menu, new hours and new name

Anna (Steckler) Catt and Aaron Catt have rebranded the longtime café Cool Beans in Huntingburg.

The newlyweds — just married in June — have been planning the name change for some time. According to Anna, Aaron came up with the name as they tossed around different thoughts. Birdie’s was one based on Anna’s nickname growing up but the couple eventually settled on Milk Parlor.

For the pair, the name brings to mind the farm fresh experience Anna’s family has cherished in their food. Her uncle operates Steckler Grassfed, an organic cheese producer just south of the Dubois County line.

In that vein, Aaron and Anna will still concentrate on providing high-quality artisan coffee and farm-fresh breakfasts made to order with locally-sourced organic vegetables, eggs and cheese. But they are also adding grab-and-go wraps and salads with several options for sides.

Made fresh daily with the same organic ingredients, customers will be able to stop in and grab a bite for lunch on the go or sit and eat in the restaurant.

Milk Parlor, 410 E. Fourth Street, will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays. They can be followed on Facebook and Twitter.
